I never wanted to be a finance major student, but my mother insisted and made it clear that that is pretty much the only course that she will be funding. For the first few months in college, I was extremely negative, feeling that this is my mother’s choice and not mine, but slowly it grew on me and before I knew it I was studying overtime to be top of my class. Today I am a very successful broker and I really love my job. Even though I still think that my mother could have taken a different approach when she forced this career path onto me, I am still thankful that she was so persistent because everything I have today is thanks to her. I would recommend that, before enrolling to become a finance major, make sure you know exactly what jobs are out there for you and that it is really something you see yourself doing.

So I was in a bar, and I was hanging out with a few friends, and we were drinking. A guy kept bumping into me, almost as if it was on purpose. He would walk past and bump me, and I’m pretty sure he was laughing. So after a few drinks, I got the courage to call him out on it. Next thing you know I was face to face in a screaming and spitting match. A few shoves later, we were on the floor wrestling. Another guy started kicking me, so I got up and grabbed a glass mug off the bar and threw it at him. I missed, it shattered, and some of the glass cut his face pretty deep.
We all got taken to jail because there was a police officer in the area, and he showed up pretty fast. He cuffed us and put us in seperate cars.
Now, I’m being sued because of the fight, both by the bar and by the guy who’s face I cut. Do I need a lawyer or will this be thrown out because I was using self defense?
There are many different medical jobs available out there and one that I am very interested in is CNA, which means I would need to take CNA training course. My friends think that it is a waste of time for me to become a CNA because I would be working under nurses and doctors. It does not matter to me, as I would be earning about $30,000 annually. In addition to that, I do not need to go through medical studies for over 7 years to work in the medical field. CNA training takes about 14 weeks or 140 hours of theoretical studies and practical training. I could start my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant as soon as I complete my training course. My parents are definitely happy and proud that I have decided to do something in the medical field, even though the career does not give me a status of a doctor.
